The Research Magazine of the Arab American University gets the first rank in the new report of the "Arab Impact Factor" for the classification of the most important magazines that are published in Arabic in the world, where the report showed that the university’s magazine got the ratio of 2.93, and it is the highest classification rank among the dozens of Arab scientific journals.

“The Arab Impact Factor” provides a quantitative and qualitative evaluation to the level of quality and sobriety for the Arab magazines specialized in all areas of knowledge, and this factor, is considered a measure to the importance of preciseness the scientific journals in their domain of research specialization, and it also reflects the extent those new researches refer and cite to the previous researches that were published earlier in that magazine, and therefore the magazine with a ‘high impact factor’ is considered more important and more dependent in the specialized scientific community.
And the University President Prof. Dr. Ali Zeidan Abu Zuhri blessed this achievement and congratulated the university community, and said: “The University’s Magazine in obtaining the first place in the report of ‘Arab Impact Factor’, for the magazines that are issued in the Arabic language in the world, is considered a great achievement for the scientific research in our university and in Palestine. It is a testimony we cherish and it will be a step that will increase our insistence to pursue excellence.” He added that this achievement was not a coincidence but the result to the university’s philosophy which is based on promoting of scientific research and providing all the possibilities to the researchers.
Dean of the Scientific Research Dr. Mahmoud Al-Manasra asserted that the process of evaluating the magazines depend on several rules, such as, the magazine must have a number in International Classification and a Website, and is issued periodically, and the editorial board consists of renowned professors. He explained that the importance of “the Arab Impact Factor” comes to define Arab researchers of the most prominent scientific journals in thematic specialization, and the Arab publishing houses that supervise the issuance of the scientific journals, as well as, provide the researchers information about the impact level of those magazines in their precise specialization. He clarified that, researchers who publish their articles in high-impact factor journals will be able to see the extent of contribution of each in scientific research through the referencing to their studies that are published in these journals.
