General Requirements

The Deanship of Admission and Registration has start receiving applications for admission at the Arab American University for Fall 2018/2019. The following table shows the offered programs and admission criteria:

Master in Commercial Law

Applicant must be a holder of a bachelor degree in Law from a recognized academic institution of the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education with a grade of at least "good".

Location: University main campus in Jenin and University site in Ramallah.

Master in Conflict Resolution and Development

Applicant must be a holder of a bachelor’s degree in any filed from a recognized academic institution of the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education with a grade of at least "good". And pass the English language test.

Location: University site in Ramallah.

Master in Intercultural Communication and Literature

Applicant must be a holder of a bachelor’s degree in any filed from a recognized academic institution of the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education with a grade of at least "good". And pass the English language test.

Location: University site in Ramallah.

Remedial Program for Master of Business Administration Joint with Indiana University

Applicant must be a holder of a bachelor’s degree in any filed ( except Administrative and Financial Sciences discipline ) from a recognized university or academic institution of the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education, with a minimum 2.4 GPA (or equivalent) if they graduated since (5) years or more, and 2.6 GPA or (equivalent) if they graduated less than (5) years ago, And have a practical experience at least (4) years, and pass the English language test.

Location: University site in Ramallah.

Master of Business Administration

( Admission not available for current semester )

Applicants should have a bachelor degree in any Administrative and Financial Sciences discipline from a recognized university or academic institution of the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education, with a minimum 2.4 GPA (or equivalent) if they graduated since (5) years or more, and 2.6 GPA or (equivalent) if they graduated less than (5) years ago, And have a practical experience at least (4) years, and pass the English language test.

Master in Strategic Planning and Fundraising

Applicant must be a holder of a bachelor’s degree in any filed from a recognized academic institution of the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education with a grade of at least "good". And pass the English language test.

Master in Quality Management

Applicant must be a holder of a bachelor’s degree in any filed from a recognized academic institution of the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education with a grade of at least "good". And pass the English language test.

Location: University site in Ramallah.

Master in Contemporary Public Relations Joint with Al-Najah University

Applicant must be a holder of a bachelor’s degree in any filed from a recognized academic institution of the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education with a grade of at least "good". And pass the placement test.

Location: University site in Ramallah.

Master of Biomedical Analysis

Applicant must be a holder of a bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences or any related disciplines in the filed degree from a recognized academic institution of the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education with a grade of at least "good". And pass the English language test.

Master in Health Informatics

Applicant must be a holder of a bachelor’s degree in Nursing or any related disciplines from allied medical sciences filed degree from a recognized academic institution of the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education with a grade of at least "good". And pass the English language test.

Location: University site in Ramallah.

Master in Computer Science

Applicant must be a holder of a bachelor’s degree in computer, IT or Engineering related field from a recognized academic institution of the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education with a grade of at least "good".

Location: University main campus in Jenin.

Master in Applied Mathematics

Applicant must be a holder of a bachelor’s degree in mathematics or a related discipline of Science or Engineering from a recognized academic institution of the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education with a grade of at least "good"..

Location: University main campus in Jenin.

Master in Physics

Applicant must be a holder of a bachelor’s degree in physics or Mathematics or Engineering related field from a recognized academic institution of the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education with a grade of at least "good".

Location: University main campus in Jenin.

High Diploma in Oral Implantology

Applicant must be a holder of a bachelor degree in Dentistry from a recognized academic institution of the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education with a grade of at least "good".

and Must have a certificate of practicing the profession.

Location: University main campus in Jenin.

Residency Program in Orthodontics

( Admission not available for current semester )

Applicant must be a holder of a bachelor degree in Dentistry from a recognized academic institution of the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education with a grade of at least "good".

Acceptance Instructions
  • Applications for admission are accepted each semester. Students are asked to carefully read the instructions that accompany the application for admission.
  • The Arab American University accepts students in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
  • The applicant must have earned an bachelor certificate, and the certificate earned that qualifies him / her to join the chosen specialization.
  • The ability of choosing a program is also limited to the minimum score requirements in the bachelor certificate GPA .
  • Students will be accepted in the different faculties on a competitive basis according to their average in the bachelor certificate.
  • Students with a bachelor certificate other than a Palestinian, will have their averages computed according to the University Council or Council of Higher Education regulations.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FROM STUDENTS
  1. Fill out AAU online Application 
  2. Transcript of high school diploma certified / or its equivalent by the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
  3. National Identity Card (local applicants) or passport (international applicants)
  4. Original birth certificate or a copy duly certified. (local applicants)
  5. Personal photo. ( count 2 )
  6. Original or Legalized copies of Bachelor Certificate and Transcript. ( certified by the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education)
  7. Two letters of recommendation either academic or professional. 
  8. A Goal statement presented by the candidate. ( one to three pages )
  9. Curriculum Vitae. ( Only applicants for MBA program in partnership with Indiana University - Pennsylvania, USA )
  10. Experience Certificate. ( Only applicants for MBA program in partnership with Indiana University - Pennsylvania, USA )
  11. A sealed transcript from the undergraduate university (Transcripts from foreign universities must be legalized and accredited by the Palestinian Ministry of Higher Education)

Note: original and legalized copies of the above documents must be submitted in order to secure full admission.

 

Academic System and Student Load
The normal course load for a full-time student during any semester (spring or fall) is considered to range from 6-12 credit hours. Such a load allows students the opportunity to complete the requirements of the master’s degree in four semesters, except for Master of Business Administration (MBA)
