Alumni Affairs Department at the Arab American University hosted its graduate and an employee at the university's Internal Auditing Department, Waseem Abu Jabal, in a dialogue workshop attended by dozens of university upcoming graduates to listen to his personal experience to enter the job market after graduating.
Head of Alumni Affairs Department Bilal Al-Ashqar started by welcoming the attendees. He stressed the University is proud of its graduates and its constant efforts to keep pace with their professional development. Saying, university graduates proved their importance in the market and received high positions in most companies and institutions. This creates a role model for current students, and brought the idea of hosting graduates regularly.
Waseem Abu Jabal presented his personal experience in the market. Starting from his interest in developing his personality during university using extracurricular and student activities, and taking advantage of field training and community services by university. Along with volunteering importance to gain experience. Stressing on the need for continuous self-development, as skills are very important in business world, especially since graduates number in the market far exceeds the offered jobs, so it’s imperative for graduates to continue developing skills and experiences.
Mr. Jabal reviewed his experiences in preparing CV and developing it on regular basis. Explaining, how to deal with job examinations, regardless of their level, and discussed his most important experiences for job interviews, stressing on good preparation importance by collect more information about the company, train for interviews and prepare to appear professionally so you can finally win the offered opportunities.
