University Alumni Affairs Department held a training course within the project of promoting civic participation for youths organized by the Arab World Observatory for Democracy and Elections, with the participation of 20 young men and women.
The workshop main objectives were to train participants on civil and democratic life basis concepts and background in which we live in Palestine, apply it in the light of public liberties and individual freedoms. The training gave a background on democracy and political systems forms in the world. Also talked about powers separation principle, rights and freedoms in democratic systems, democratic state components, political pluralism, how to apply them, explain the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and talk about civil society institutions active role in the democratic state.
