University Hosts Workshop on Made in Palestine Competition

Alumni Affairs department and Faculty of Engineering and IT in partnership with Al-Naizak foundation held a workshop about the Made in Palestine competition, presented by the Director of Al-Naizak Nablus office Mouna Zaror. The workshop included an overview of Al-Naizak foundation, Made in Palestine program, competition registration and targeted groups, the time frame, work schedule and previous winner’s stories.

Dean of Faculty of Engineering and IT Dr. Mohammad Hamarsheh started the meeting welcoming the audience and stressing on the importance of “Made in Palestine” program. He said “I invite you to benefit from such programs as it is a real chance for you to start your own business in the tough Palestinian market”, stressing many success stories came true with this program.

As for Mouna Zaror, she stressed that the program essence is to give Palestinian pioneers in or out universities the opportunity to achieve their dreams, which will develop new products or solve technical problems in a creative way. Adding, the program aims to provide adopting opportunities for pioneer projects to become real profitable business project.

“Made in Palestine” is one of Al-Naizak’s annual programs that aims to develop and support innovative ideas and projects in all the fields of applied science, engineering and technology. It is a pioneering program that seeks to connect university research with business and industry community, to provide solutions for technological, scientific and industrial problems facing local product.

After the meeting, the audience questions were discussed and answered by Al-Naizak foundation representatives.
