The University Organizes A "How to Make Professional Interview" Workshop for its Graduates

Alumni Affairs Department at the Deanship of Student Affairs hosted Mr. Faleh Abu Arra Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs in a specialized workshop on “How to make a professional interview”, within the training program “Skills for Job Search” by Said Abu Moalla in presence of dozens of upcoming graduates from various faculties and specializations.

Abu Arra started talking about the importance of being prepared for interviews by graduates, from the pre-interview phase to the day it happens and ending with the post-interview phase. This comes through gathering key information about the institution, preparing the required documents, certificates and professional outfit in accordance with the institution. Also, explained the importance of preparation by simulating job interviews, as it reduces stress and enriches the experience. There is no such thing as a failure job interview it’s an experience that we can benefit from in the coming times.

He stressed that today’s labor market in light of its limitation and the lack of jobs gives great importance to the graduate skills. So graduates should work on developing their skills and abilities to ensure having a decent work. “I recommend you to develop your English, as it’s essential in today’s business world, and computer skills because they’re the basics to get a job. The labor market’s top required skills are excellence and professionalism in communication. So work hard to improve your skills continuously, or you’ll be left behind”, he addressed graduates.

Faleh Abu Arra also mentioned the questions that are asked in interviews, questions types and how to answer them professionally and distinctly, providing advice and guidance on a number of crucial behaviors that must be taken into account for a successful interview.

The “Job Search Skills” training program is a free program offered by the university to its upcoming graduates in order to bridge the gap between the university and its theoretical academic nature and the work environment that requires a different kind of skills and practical abilities that change constantly as a result of the business world great acceleration.
