We’re pleased to convey the Ministry of Higher Education announcement on conducting a national competition in scientific research (Researcher University Student Competition) for undergraduate and master students for the 2017/2018 academic year.
The university will honor the Arab American University students financially if they won the first or second place with the same value of the prize provided by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education
Competition Application Submission:
1- The competition application is for the college’s bachelor and master programs students only
2- The Faculty Deanship selects the best submitted researches (one research for undergraduate students and another for master students)
3- The winning researches shall be sent to the Scientific Research Deanship for consideration and select one research in each of the specialization five fields
4- Candidate's researches will be sent to the Ministry of Higher Education by the end of the second semester 2017/2018
Competition goals:
- Encouraging scientific research among Palestinian university students to continue their research activities and initiatives
- Promoting the culture of scientific research which contributes to raising the quality of research outputs in Palestine
- Achieve quality and sustainable development in research sectors
Competition Categories:
First Category: Engineering
Second category: Information Technology and Systems
Third Category: Social and Educational Sciences
Fourth Category: Administrative, Financial and Law Sciences
Fifth Category: Natural and Medical Sciences
Target Group: Palestinian Universities Students enrolled in

Submission conditions for the first group, Bachelor Students:
- The research should be the student’s graduation project that will be presented during the second semester of the current academic year
- The research topic must be new, original and related to one of the competition categories
- Must take into account the scientific methodology in writing the research
- Each student has the right to only submit one research to the competition in one category only
- More than one student can work on one research
- The jury decisions are final and cannot be contested
- Researches submitted after the deadline won’t be considered
Submission conditions for the second group, Master Students:
- The research should not be published in any research journal
- The research topic must be new, original and related to one of the competition categories
- Each student has the right to only submit one research to the competition in one category only
- The jury decisions are final and cannot be contested
- Researches submitted after the specified deadline won’t be considered
- More than one student can work on one research
Prize Money:
The Ministry of Higher Education grants the winners certificates of appreciation and financial prizes, for each category and for each stage as follows:

Research Specification:
The research shouldn’t exceed (33) pages, for Arabic researches it must be written in (Simplified Arabic-14) and for English ones must be in (Times News Roman-14).
Submission Deadline:
Researches submitted in two copies; a hardcopy and a softcopy to the address the university assigned by the end of the current academic year’s second semester 2017/2018.
