In collaboration with the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Arab American University organized an interactive youth activity to celebrate International Youth Day, which falls on the 12th of August, with the slogan “Towards Free, National and Participation Youth”.
The activity aims to enhance the role of youth as key partners in building society. It included songs presented by the poets Sami Obaid and Obada Masad, in addition to Shababah playing by the artist Osama Jalamneh. The Zagal songs praised the Arab American University role and youth role in building the Palestinian society, with participation of university students.
Student Affairs Dean Assistant at the Arab American University Mr. Mohammed Kameel, stresfsed on the importance of organizing extracurricular activities for students to participate in because they build the students’ abilities and refining their personalities. Also its importance to preserve the Palestinian heritage.
The activity is part of a series of activities carried out by Higher Council for Youth and Sports in Palestinian universities, to convey the message to the largest possible number of youths, said the North Council Youth Director Mr. Abdallah Barham. Pointing, Arab American University was chosen for its excellence and position in the north of West Bank, also it gathers a large various group of Palestinian people, including the 1948 Palestinians.
