Dr. Laila Ghannam: AAU a Model Scientific Edifice with Outstanding Academic Specializations

Her Excellency Governor of Ramallah and Al Bireh Governate Dr. Laila Ghannam said: “Arab American University in Ramallah and Jenin is a model of educational institute with various unique and new specializations in Palestine both in its master and undergraduate degrees. This will give a big boost to fill in the increasing and rapid needs of local community in the tremendous technological and scientific development in various critical areas”.

She added I’m proud of the Arab American University which managed to make its own bath complementary to other Palestinian universities to form together a factory to refine younger generations in many disciplines to lead and service their people and build their independent state after graduating from universities.

During Dr. Ghannam visit to Arab American University campus in Ramallah to check it and discuss partnership enhancement. Arab American University Founder President and academic advisor for Directors Board Dr. Waleed Deep, Directors Board member Osaid Asfour, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs Mr. Faleh Abu Arra, Director Manager of the university site at Ramallah Mr. Mohammad Saba’neh and Engineer Bara Asfour all welcomed Dr. Ghannam.

Dr. Deeb welcomed Dr. Ghannam, “We at Arab American University cherish this visit and this testimony since it came from a courage, wise lady took an important position to be an example in tender, love and sacrifice for Palestine and its people”. He also presented her detailed explanation about the University in Jenin and Ramallah, its master and undergraduate academic programs, its international partnerships with many international universities and its permanent plans to build scientific edifice similar to the international ones by focusing on educational quality, transfer advanced sciences to Palestine through partnerships experiences with international universities.

Dr. Ghannam praised the university site in Ramallah, pointing that having this new edifice is a qualitative addition to Ramallah and Al-Birh city particularly and Palestine in general. She talked about its available possibilities to serve the educational process and provide students with the best sciences by opening new, strategic and unique specializations, she confirmed her constant desire to improve the existing partnership with AAUP through applying several joint cultural, scientific and experiences exchange programs.

During the visit Dr. Ghannam saw introductory film on the university’s establishment, colleges, goals, specializations, students and master’s academic programs.

Dr. Deep honored Dr. Ghannam with the university shield in recognition of her pioneer role to enhance the state of Palestine and develop Ramallah and Al-Bireh city.
