Researcher Haitham Abdul Karim Qshtam, Computer Science student at Arab American University Graduate Studies Faculty, made scientific achievement. He managed to improve the IoT networks performance, which international research centers failed to achieve in his Master degree thesis titled “Improve the performance of Internet of things that deal with secure connection”.

The researcher found a way to improve IoT networks performance, which is built on traditional internet protocol. This protocol isn’t convenient for those networks, an international dilemma many research centers tries to solve. The researcher put a plan to enhance their performance with a new creative way no center ever used, and it was tested with computer simulation.

The suggested method achieved great positive results exceeding what international research centers made. This solution can be applied to all IoT networks, especially the ones need a high-security system. Also, it made 50% improvement in their performance compared to using traditional internet protocol.

By the end of the discussion, a committee included supervisor and Head of the committee Dr. Khalid Rabay’a, Internal examiner from AAUJ Dr. Odwan Yasin and the External examiner from Birzeit University Dr. Wasel Ghanem, decided to give the student Haitham Qshtam Master degree.
