With Chairman of Directors Board Dr. Yousef Asfour, University President Prof. Dr. Ali Zidan Abu Zuhri and his Administrative and Financial Affairs Assistant Mr. Faleh Abu Arra guidance, AAUJ with Al-Amad Contracting Company supervised and installed 10 speed bumps with legal specifications and traffic lights along the street connecting Zababdeh and University to preserve the life of students and citizens moving their vehicles daily on this street.

Jenin’s Governor and member of university Trustees Board Ibrahim Ramadan cherished this initiative. Stressing, students and citizens safety while moving to University is a priority for both Jenin governance and the university. Putting these bumps and reflectors is to reduce speed and prevent human and material losses, as the street connecting Zababda town and university is active. We recently witnessed a regrettable incident where we lost two students from AAUJ, calling drivers of public and private vehicles to be patient, not reckless and obey speed limits and Palestinian traffic laws to preserve lives.

University President Prof. Dr. Ali Zidan Abu Zuhri thanked Al-Amd Constructions company engineers; Amer Jaradat, Hasan Foqha and Qasim Tahayneh along with Director of University Engineering and Maintenance department Eng. Sulaiman Foqha for their efforts in following up and implementing the bumps project. He said “Arab American University is sad for losing two students in a traffic accident on the street linking Zababdeh town and AAUJ. Guidance from Chairman of Directors Board Dr. Yousef Asfour, the bumps and traffic reflections are necessary to preserve students and citizens’ life and safety on the road”

“AAUJ 10 thousand students are our children, their safety is our priority, we work day and night with full powers to insure it. We’re keen to make our surrounding streets, facilities safe and equipped with all means to preserve our students and citizens’ lives. Thanks to Jenin’s governor Ibrahim Ramadan efforts and guidance and traffic police for its role securing Zababda University Street. As Arab American University, we attribute ourselves with the loss of our students in traffic accident a few days ago. May God protect our Palestine, our students and our citizens, and bless everyone's efforts”, said university President Assistant Mr. Faleh Abu Arra.
