University Gets Accreditation for Bachelor Program in Computer Networks / Minor Information Security

Arab American University President Dr. Ali Zeidan Abu Zuhri announced the university got the Ministry of Higher Education accreditation for a Bachelor degree in Computer Networks / Minor Information Security, to add a new major to the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology.

He pointed that specializing in computer networks and information security is one of the most vital and important specializations due to the need to link and connect various organizations and keep the data secured. He explained, Data is the most important component of any system, thus it’s necessary to use every possible means to protect and preserve it.

Abu Zuhri stressed on the university’s keen to keep up with the century’s development and meet the market and community needs. Pointing that this is what makes AAUP a leading university in developing new specializations that keep up and meet technological advances requirements.

He explained, this major will give enrolled students the needed skills and knowledge to work in several areas, most important, Designing and Analyzing Information Systems, Managing and Designing Computer Networks, Designing Secure Networks, Developing Computer Networks’ Technologies, Designing Phone Applications, computer networks risk analyses, Designing and Managing Information Security Systems, develop information safety algorithms and encrypt them along with preparing students to become distinctive researcher in computer networks and information security when it comes to pursue their master degree.

It worth mentioning, AAUP will start receiving applications for this major by the beginning of 2017/2018 Academic year.
