In cooperation with Palestinian Incubators for Communication and Information Technology “PICTI”
Arab American University faculty of Engineering and Information Technology in cooperation with the Palestinian Incubators for Communication and Information Technology “PICTI” held a workshop for university students on the mechanism to develop and promote entrepreneurial businesses.
The workshop aims to introduce students to the mechanism of picking their graduation project and turn them into entrepreneur business, in the presence of AAUP Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology Dean Dr. Mohammad Hamarsheh and Palestinian Incubators for Communication and Information Technology Representative Dr. Maher Alawneh.
Dr. Hamarsheh opened the workshop mentioning the Palestinian Incubators for Communication and Information Technology initiative to hold such workshop. Stressing on its importance to introduce students to the mechanism of picking graduation projects and turn them into entrepreneur business that benefits them and serves community. Pointing, the university during students’ studying years, contribute to rehab them to join labor market, but the bigger role remains on graduates to continue progress and development until they success. Explaining that graduate skills are very important for the entrepreneurial business succeed.
The Palestinian Incubators for Communication and Information Technology “PICTI” Representative Dr. Maher Alawneh gave his lecture stressing on the importance of youth to be entrepreneur giving ideas serves local community. Pointing, university student spent four years studying without any idea what to do after graduating that is why it’s important to choose unique graduation project that can be turn into entrepreneurial business.
He pointed, as part of the Palestinian Incubators strategy, it holds workshops in Palestinian universities to develop and promote entrepreneurial businesses including the mechanism of picking graduation projects to make them entrepreneur businesses. Explaining, his organization carries out several stages, starting with training, turn ideas into entrepreneur business, in addition to the organization’s grants for student to start his entrepreneur project. Also discussing mechanism to search for the project idea and the mechanism of work and applying it for real after graduation.
