Defense of a Master’s Thesis in the Adult Nursing Program by Murad Jaghlab

Researcher Murad Jagalab, a student in the master’s program in adult nursing, defended his thesis titled: “The Impact of an Educational Program on Intensive Care Nurses’ Awareness and Practice of Risk and Prevention Factors for keratopathy in Unconscious Patients Connected to a Ventilator in Palestine.”

This study aims to evaluate the impact of an educational program on eye care on the awareness and practices of nurses working in intensive care regarding risk factors and prevention of keratopathy among ventilated and unconscious patients.

Visual complications in patients within the ICU may often go unreported, leading to potentially serious effects such as keratopathy resulting from exposure to the external environment. To reduce these risks, it is important to promptly recognize and prevent these problems and educate ICU nurses about them.

Defense of a Master’s Thesis in the Emergency Nursing Program by Jawaher Salah

Researcher Jawaher Salah, a student in the master’s program in emergency nursing, defended her thesis titled: “Perceptions of Nursing Students in Palestinian Universities of The Impact of Covid-19 Pandemic on their Practical Training.”

This study aims to evaluate the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the practical training of nursing students in Palestinian universities from their point of view. The researcher relied on the descriptive approach by distributing questionnaires to a cross-sectional sample of 93 students.

Defense of a Master’s Thesis in the Integrated Digital Media Program by Lara Khamash

Researcher Lara Khamash, a student in the Master’s program in Integrated Digital Media, defended her thesis titled: “Visual Narratives in Advocacy Films: Cases from Palestine and Around the World.”

The study delves into exploring cinematic storytelling from different angles. It also highlights the unique role that films play in promoting the rights and representation of marginalized groups in Palestine and around the world by analyzing five films. The research examines how films can be used as a means of change by influencing audiences through different representations of these groups.
