The AAUP Theater Team Concludes its Participation in the International Monodrama Festival in Tunisia

The Arab American University Theater Team has concluded its participation in the International Monodrama Festival in the city of Sidi Bouzid in Tunisia. The team participated in the theatrical performance titled “The Last Sunset,” and the festival had the slogan “Student Letters to Dignified Gaza,” which aims to shed light on deep humanitarian issues and encouraging dialogue and cultural interaction.

Louay Tafish, an employee in the Deanship of Student Affairs at the Arab American University, stated that the theatrical performance “The Last Sunset,” which was produced in cooperation with our partners in the Freedom Theater, is an artistic work that embodies the internal and external conflict facing the Palestinian people under the siege and occupation. The performance also reflects the experience of a character of a young Palestinian woman, living in oppression and persecution, and seeking to build her own world of hope and imagination.

An AAUP Team Is to Present a Theatrical Performance in Tunisia Representing the State of Palestine

The Arab American University theater team, which represents the State of Palestine, is preparing to present a theatrical performance at the International University Melodrama Festival in the city of Sidi Bouzid, Tunisia, titled “The Last Sunset,” which was produced specially to be displayed at the festival, which holds the slogan “Student Messages to Gratified Gaza.”

The performance will be presented tomorrow, Monday, April 29, 2024, as part of the festival’s events. It displays the psychological conditions that our Palestinian people are experiencing in the Gaza Strip, especially in light of the war of extermination.

The theatrical show tells the story of a young Palestinian woman, before the outbreak of the war. She was living under siege, trying to build a world of imagination to escape the bitter reality. With the attack on Gaza, the young woman’s suffering deepens and her fantasies lead her to wish for the previous siege.

Arab American University Participates in the Activities of the First Student Conference of the Association of Deans of Student Affairs at Al Ain University

The Arab American University participated in the activities of the first student conference of the Association of Deanships of Student Affairs at Al Ain University in the United Arab Emirates, under the title “Sustaining the Quality of University Life.” These activities were under the sponsorship of Her Highness Dr. Shamma Mohammed Al Nahyan in which a number of Arab universities participated.

The Arab American University was represented by Dr. Fadi Jumaa, Dean of Student Affairs and member of the Executive Committee of the Association of Deanships of Student Affairs, who also participated in managing scientific sessions in the conference. The activities were also attended by Professor Dr. Amr Salama, Secretary General of the Association of Arab Universities, Dr. Nour El Din Atatreh, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al Ain University, and Dr. Ghaleb Al Rifai, President of Al Ain University, and Professor Dr.
