The Arab American University Holds a Free Medical Day in the Northern Jordan Valley

The Arab American University has held a free medical day in the northern Jordan Valley, targeting the Bardala, Kardala, and Ain Al Bayida areas, as well as Al Maleh and Bedouin areas.

Mr. Omar Fuqaha, Chairman of the Ain Al Bayda Village Council, in the presence of Mr. Abdullah Daraghmeh, representative of Tubas Governorate, and Mr. Mohammad Fuqaha and Osama Fuqaha, representing the Fatah Movement, welcomed the University team, represented by Dr. Laila Herzallah, Assistant to the President for Community Affairs. He thanked the University for this initiative which comes within the framework of Strengthening the steadfastness of families in these areas that suffer from the scourge of the siege and the lack of adequate medical services.

The Arab American University Holds a Lecture for its Students on Transformative Education in Celebration of the Global Campaign for Education

The Office of the Assistant to the President of the Arab American University, in cooperation with the Faculty of Arts and Education, has held a scientific workshop for the University students titled “Transformative Education”. This lecture was held in partnership with the Teacher Creativity Center, and it comes in celebration of the global campaign to protect education, which falls on the twenty-second of April each year.

The lecture was attended by the University’s Assistant to the President for Community Affairs, Dr. Laila Herzallah, the representative of the Teacher Creativity Center, Mr. Abdullah Jarrar, Professor Dr. Mohammad Dawabsheh, lecturer in the Faculty of Arts, and the researcher at the Arab American University, Dr. Mousa Odeh.

An AAUP Academician Represented Palestine in the International Conference of the Arab Federation for Sports Culture

The Academician at the Arab American University, Dr. Saba Jarrar, representing the State of Palestine, has participated in the events of the First International Conference of the Arab Federation for Sports Culture. This conference was recently held in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, titled Move Week. Dr. Jarrar was authorized by the President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports.

This international conference was held by the Arab Federation for Sports Culture under the auspices of the Egyptian Prime Minister. More than ten countries represented by a group of Arab youth and sports ministers, led by the President of the International Federation for Culture and Sports participated in the conference.

Arab American University and Arab Bank Conclude the “Smart Shabab” Intensive Training Program for Financial Engineering and Digital Marketing Students

The Arab American University and Arab Bank concluded the intensive training program “Smart Youth” as part of the University’s pursuit to provide students with the skills and experience necessary to successfully integrate into the banking and financial services sector. This program was presented to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Financial Engineering and Digital Marketing, where twenty-one male and female students benefited from it.

Professor Dr. Mohammad Asia, Vice President for Ramallah Campus, stressed the importance of this program in terms of providing practical training opportunities for students, which contributes to developing their skills and increasing their chances of obtaining future value-added jobs in the labor market. He added: “Through the academic programs that we offer to students, we are keen to provide them with a supportive environment by increasing their involvement in institutions and companies.

The Arab American University Police Station is Inaugurated under the Auspices of the President of the State of Palestine

The Minister of Interior, Major General Zeyad Hab Al Rih, has inaugurated the Arab American University Police Station. The inauguration was attended by the Governor of Jenin, Kamal Abu Al Rob, the President of the Arab American University, Professor Dr.

The Arab American University had donated a plot of 1000 square meters from its campus to build a police station. This police station was built by the University, and it is of an area of approximately 300 square meters.

The Arab American University and the Istishari Hospital in Amman Sign a Cooperation Agreement to Train Medical Students

As part of its constant efforts to develop the field of medical education, enhance health care, and prepare and qualify medical personnel, the Arab American University and the Istishari Hospital in Amman / Jordan signed a cooperation agreement. This agreement aimed at training medical students enrolled at AAUP on its Ramallah and Jenin campuses. This is for the sake of improving the provision of therapeutic and preventive medical services and preparing as well as qualifying medical staffs.

The Arab American University was represented by the Vice President for the Ramallah Campus, Professor Mohammad Asia, and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Malik Zaben, while the Istishari Hospital was represented by the General Director, Dr. Tariq Al Lawzi, and the Medical Director, Dr. Mahmoud Abu Obeila.

The AAUP Faculty of Medicine Announces Launching Preparations for the Second Summer Session at the Universities of Oxford and Dundee in Britain

The Faculty of Medicine at the Arab American University has announced the launch of preparations for the second summer session at the Universities of Oxford and Dundee in the United Kingdom.

The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Malik Zaben, explained that the academic and administrative staffs receive applications from students interested in the course and nominate a number of them to participate through a specialized academic committee and within international standards. Forty five male and female students have been selected to attend this course in Britain.

The Arab American University and Hclinic Specialty Hospital Sign a Cooperation Agreement to Train Medical Students

The Arab American University and the Hclinic Specialty Hospital signed a joint cooperation agreement to train students of the Faculty of Medicine enrolled at the University on its Ramallah and Jenin campuses. The University was represented by the Vice President of the Ramallah Campus, Professor Mohammad Asia, and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Malik Zaben, while the hospital was represented by its Medical Director, Dr. Jihad Mishal, and the Director of Personnel Affairs, Hadeel Sawafta.

The terms of the agreement revolve around providing a high level of training to medical students in the clinical stage and before by the most skilled specialist doctors at Hclinic Specialty Hospital in the departments of internal medicine, general surgery, pediatrics, gynecology, obstetrics, and specialized departments of orthopedics, neurology, cardiology, emergency, anesthesia, and diagnostic radiology.

The AAUP Department of Optometry Obtains the World Council of Optometry (WCO) Membership

The Arab American University has recently obtained membership in the World Council of Optometry (WCO) in an important step towards strengthening its global presence and contribution to the field of optometry.

This achievement reflects the University’s continued commitment to promoting active participation in developing skills and standards of education and scientific research for the optometry profession at the local and international levels. This membership also represents international recognition that reflects the quality of the University’s educational and research programs.

The Arab American University Congratulates Dr. Samah Abu Aoun Hamad, a Member of the University’s Board of Trustees, on Appointment as Minister of Social Development

The Arab American University family, represented by the Founding Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Yousef Asfour, the members of the Board of Directors, the Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, Dr. Magdi Al-Khaldi, the members of the Board of Trustees, the President of the University, Professor Dr. Ali Zedan Abu Zuhri, the University’s Council of Deans, members of the academic and administrative staff, and the University’s students pass warmest congratulations to Dr. Samah Abu Aoun Hamad on her appointment as Minister of Social Development.

Dr. Samah Abu Aoun obtained the Ph.D.in Business Administration from the University of Northampton in Britain, where her research focused on technological entrepreneurship in the Middle East and North Africa and venture capitalists’ assessment of the human capital factors of startup companies. Dr. Abu Aoun obtained the Master’s degree in Business Administration from the British University of Liverpool, and a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Technology in Baghdad.
