During opening the Rehabilitation Centers at the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences

Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr. Sabri Mamdouh Saidam, while opening the multipurpose sports hall and some medical centers in occupational and physical therapy at the Arab American University, said “The Arab American University is surprising us every year by improving its academic level through developing world-class specializations and programs needed in the Palestinian market.

The Arab American University constructed the largest multi-purpose gym in Palestine in accordance to the international standards with the university Board of Directors support. It’s built on a total area of ​​12,000 square meters, can accommodate up to 5,000 people, and includes classrooms, equipped gymnastics halls, squash courts, and various equipment for basketball, five-a-side football, handball, volleyball, tennis, taekwondo, karate and others.

Dr. Riham Nazzal, Assistant Professor in the Basic Medical Sciences Unit at the University

Dr. Raham Nazzal, Associate Professor at the Arab American University Basic Medical Sciences Unit, received the Zamalah Fellowship presented by the Bank of Palestine to finish her scientific research entitled “Clinical Application of Modern Human Genome Analysis Techniques to Investigate the Molecular Causes of Common Genetic Diseases in Palestine.”

Dr. Nazzal said she will make her research at the Arab American University advanced genetic laboratories in its Ramallah campus, and the research will be continued at the British University of Exeter Medical School and its university hospital.

Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences

The Office of Vice-President for Training Affairs and the Occupational Therapy Department at AAUJ held a training session for the training supervisors in the department, 40 training hours, presented by Mr. Yazid Ghanaim. It aimed to develop the professional supervision skills, which reflects on supervisors' performance in supervising the department students and provide them with practical skills to serve their academic and professional improvement.

The course provided an opportunity to enrich the participants’ professional supervision method and increase their ability to guide students with treatment plans based on linking the academic and practical aspects with the different cases.

It is the first of its kind, in which the participants praised its discussed contents, their importance to them, and the way they achieve their desired goals.
