Delegation

During the meeting, both parties discussed the possibilities and capabilities of organizing a joint conference about International Humanitarian Law, and the idea of adding an International Humanitarian Law course for Law students in specific and the university students as well. Moreover, they agreed to sign MoU soon that should contain articles on starting joint programs between the university and the Red Crescent.

Dr. Yousef Asfour welcomed the delegation and talked about Arab American University, its academic programs, its achievements and its future projects and vision to advance higher education in Palestine. Dr. Asfour also explained how hard they worked and the efforts during the establishing period of AAUP and the mechanisms they use to develop the different academic programs. Moreover, Dr. Asfour and Prof.

Sheikh Taher AbuSaleh, Sheikh Qassim Safadi, Sheikh Rafiq Ibrahim and Sheikh Dr. Wasif Khater were in the delegation, and in their reception were Prof. Ali Zeidan Abu Zuhri – the University President, Dr. Mo’ayad Abu Saa’- the VP for Academic Affairs, Mr. Fathi Imour- the Public Relations Manager and Mr. Anan Deek- the Manager of AAUP Offices in the green-line area.
