The University Concludes "Strategic Planning" Training Program for its Graduates

Alumni Affairs Department at the Deanship of Student Affairs concluded a training program for its graduates entitled “Strategic Planning” with participation of 22 graduates in the 40 hours training within eight sessions. The training presented by Muhanad Abu Deqer aims to develop the participants' personal competencies and strategic planning skills through clarifying and explaining the strategic planning concept and importance in the institutions’ management.

Regarding the training topics, Abu Daqer pointed that the topics are presenting the fundamentals of strategic planning, its principles and features, in addition to providing the students with the necessary skills and knowledge based on strategic planning rules to study the strategic work location, the internal and external conditions ruling it through several factors. Also presents the method of evaluating the work internal capabilities in accordance with the external environment and available possibilities to build strategic options accordingly through several tools, including SOAR and SWOT Analysis. Moreover, training students on one of the most important tools in the Strategic Performance Management, a Balanced Scorecards through which assess, control and track performance by indicators that have already been developed so that the participants were divided into working groups focused to achieve specific exercises and tasks.

Commenting on the implementation of this training course, Dr. Abdullah Wolweel Dean of Student Affairs said “The university administration gives special attention to developing the graduates’ capabilities and developing their potential. Which meets the needs of graduates and provides them with the necessary ground to build their own capabilities before entering the labor market. Stressing, this project represents a model for volunteering in transferring knowledge from the experienced and knowledgeable to new graduates. Dr. Wolweel thanked all participants, in particular, Coach Muhanad Abu Daqer, as the training included topics that will enrich the students’ personality and contribute to their personal and professional excellence.
