Dental Lab Technician

The Arab American University is seeking to hire two dental laboratory technicians for a full-time temporary employment contract in the Faculty of Dentistry.

The applicant is expected to have a strong knowledge of dental prosthetic manufacturing techniques, to be precise and have excellent manual skills to work on teeth and prostheses accurately. The applicant is also expected to strive to provide high-quality products and adhere to health and quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. To design and manufacture dental implants and artificial teeth according to the required specifications.
2. To ensure quality and precision in all products manufactured.
3. To receive custody of the laboratory sub-warehouse.
4. To provide students with the necessary tools and materials during the practical lesson in the laboratory.
5. To train students on laboratory practical requirements, each according to her/his specialization and under the supervision of the course instructor.
6. To discuss practical educational pathological cases with students inside the laboratory according to the pathological condition and under the supervision of the course instructor.
7. To monitor and follow up on safety matters before and after each practical lesson in the laboratory.
8. To prepare orders for materials, tools, and equipment required for each laboratory before the beginning of each semester.
9. To follow new advances and technologies in the dental industry and remains willing to learn and improve her/his skills.
10. To ensure that the infection prevention policy is implemented and that students are monitored during their work in the laboratory.

Qualifications and Skills Required for the Job:

1. The applicant must have a bachelor’s degree in the dental technician specialty from an accredited university or college.
2. Practical experience in the specialty should not be less than one year.
3. The applicant must have a Palestinian practicing license from the Dental Technicians Syndicate.
