The Arab American University is seeking to hire a faculty member to work in the Faculty of Medicine / Internal Medicine specialty, starting from the spring semester 2023/2024.
The faculty member is expected to be able to teach, provide interactive lectures and lessons and use virtual reality devices. The faculty member is also expected to be committed to imparting the necessary knowledge and skills to students, be highly professional, adhere to professional ethics, and be a positive role model for students.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teaching and guiding students in understanding complex medical concepts and applying such concepts in practice, including clinical training and giving lectures.
- Guiding students in virtual reality laboratories and various practical laboratories.
- Conducting exams and evaluations for students.
- Conducting innovative research and studies and participating in scientific seminars.
- Supervising students’ research, reports, and scientific activities, and guiding them scientifically and ethically.
- Providing health care to patients.
- Adherence to deadlines.
- To participate in curriculum evaluation and development.
Qualifications and Skills Required for the Job:
- The applicant must have a bachelor’s degree in medicine from an accredited university.
- The applicant must have a Palestinian Board certificate or its equivalent / specialty in internal medicine.
- It is preferable that the applicant has experience in teaching and academic work.
- It is preferable that the applicant has an interest in scientific research.
