Faculty Member - Pharmacology and Toxicology

Arab American University is seeking to hire a faculty member specializing in “Pharmacology and Toxicology” in the Faculty of Pharmacy starting in the Spring semester 2023/2024.

The faculty member is expected to be able to teach and deliver lectures, be committed to imparting the necessary knowledge and skills to students, be highly professional and committed to professional ethics. The faculty member must also be a good role model for students.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Teaching, guiding and assisting students in understanding complex medical concepts and applying these concepts practically.
2. Conducting exams and assessments for students.
3. Conducting innovative research and studies and participating in scientific seminars on an annual basis.
4. Supervising students’ research, reports, and scientific activities, and guiding them scientifically and ethically.
5. To participate in curriculum evaluation and development.

Qualifications and Skills Required for the Job:

1. The applicant must have a Ph.D in pharmacology and toxicology from an accredited university.
2. The applicant must have a very good grade or higher in the bachelor’s degree.
3. The applicant’s academic degrees (bachelor’s, master’s, Ph.D) must be in specializations related to pharmacology and toxicology.
4. The applicant must have experience in teaching and academic work for a period of no less than five years after obtaining the Ph.D.
5. The applicant must be interested in scientific research and have a strong record of independent research published in peer-reviewed journals.
