The Faculty of Sport Sciences at the Arab American University, in cooperation with the Palestine Red Crescent in Tubas Governorate, concluded a first aid course for 24 male and female students. The course was presented by the ambulance officer of the Red Crescent, Mr. Hassan Foqaha.
The course dealt with how to resuscitate the heart and lungs, dealing with cases of suffocation, dealing with stroke and heart attacks, and sport injuries. The students participating in the course underwent practical and theoretical tests and they were granted a first aid certificate approved by the Red Crescent.
During the closing ceremony, the Dean of the Faculty of Sport Sciences, Dr. Main Zakarneh, and the Director of Ambulance in Tubas Governorate, Mr. Nedal Odeh, stressed the importance of the course for university students in particular and for every Palestinian citizen in general, since proper handling at the time of injuries and suffocation saves the lives of citizens.
Dr. Zakarneh and Mr. Odeh, with the presence of Dr. Islam Abbas, handed over certificates to the students participating in the course.
