AAUP Concludes the Respiratory Care and Artificial Respiration Course for Employees of the Ministry of Health

Under collaboration with the American Heart Association center in Arab American University and the Ministry of Health, the Faculty of Nursing in AAUP concluded the Respiratory Care and Artificial Respiration course that targeted the Ministry of Health employees, especially the emergency department nurses and COVID departments in the West Bank hospitals.

The ceremony was opened by Prof. Asia who welcomed the audience and congratulated the participants for passing the course. He asserted on the importance of such course and that all people in the community should learn the respiration skills. He also said that the Heart Center in AAUP in the Faculty of Nursing was established for this purpose and that the courses targets all local community members.

Dr. Lubna Harazneh- the Dean do the Faculty of Nursing said that the Faculty is ready to provide services and health courses for the Palestinian people and for all the governmental and private institutions and said that the Faculty graduates professional nurses who proved their success in the labor market.

Dr. Imad Abu Khader- the Director of the American Heart Association Center in Arab American University explained that this course came as a complementary course to the many agreements that were signed between the Center and the Ministry of Health and the Medical and Health centers. He said that this course targeted the nurses working in the different hospitals in the West Bank. Dr. Khader also explained how the Heart Center in AAUP trains the medical and health staff from the governmental and community organizations as they get specialized training in the respiratory resuscitation for adults, for children, and major cardiac resuscitation, within courses that are organized from time to time.
