The Department of Real Estate Sciences at the Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences at the Arab American University organized a scientific symposium entitled "Methods and Mechanisms of Real Estate Valuation and Legal Arbitration", targeting intermediate diploma students in real estate valuation.
Eng. Wajih Hamarsheh, a real estate appraiser and legal arbitrator, Mr. Mahmoud Kanaan, a real estate appraiser and legal arbitrator, Eng. Ali Al-Essa, a civil engineer, and Eng. Mahmoud Hamarsheh, a civil engineer were all hosted by the faculty.
The symposium was inaugurated by the head of the Department of Real Estate Sciences, Dr. Raed Saad, with a speech in which he welcomed the attendees, and stressed the importance of the symposium, calling on students to benefit from the guests. Dr. Saad also stressed the importance of hosting the experts to gain experience and skills from them to benefit from it all when moving to practical life after graduation.
The Participants in the symposium emphasized the importance of real estate valuation specialization at the Arab American University, the first of its kind at the level of the Palestinian universities, pointing out that real estate valuation students have a prosperous future and a great responsibility ahead. They presented a definition of valuation, as they indicated that it is an appraisal of a commodity or material with certain descriptions at a certain time, touching on the types of valuation. The participants also provided an explanation for each type of valuation gave advice to students on this specialization to benefit from it when they move to work.
