A delegation from the Arab American University visited the Directorate of Education in Jenin. The meeting was attended by the Director of the Directorate of Education, Ms. Salam Al Taher, and the Director of Public Relations, Ms. Ola Zakarneh. This meeting came to discuss ways of cooperation and community partnership between AAUP and the Directorate of Education.
The University delegation included Dr. Laila Harzallah, Assistant to the President for Community Affairs, Professor Wesam Hannoun from the University Medical Rehabilitation Complex - Department of Occupational Therapy, and Ms. Rama Jouda, a specialist in speech, language and hearing therapy and diagnosis. Dr. Laila presented an overview of the departments of the University Medical Rehabilitation Complex and the services it provides to various age groups. She also presented the therapeutic and rehabilitative interventions provided to school students, and the possibility of holding meetings with parents to introduce them to the University and the services that the medical complex provides to them as well as their children.
Ms. Salam Al Taher welcomed this constructive cooperation in educational work between AAUP and educational institutions, especially in light of the circumstances we are going through and the exposure of students to shocks as a result of the repeated invasions in the governorate.
