Arab American University President Prof. Dr. Ali Zeidan Abu Zuhri welcomed a delegation from the Palestinian Diplomatic Corps. It included, Senior Advisor at the State of Palestine Embassy in Washington Mr. Omar Faqih, Director of Expatriates Department at Ministry of Foreign Affairs Hamdi Abu Ali, Head of Palestine Emigrants Mr. Hamdi Abu Ali and Director of the Department of Academic Affairs in Police Col. Mansour Khuzaimya. The delegation visited University to discuss developing cultural, academic and research cooperation with American universities and see what the University has achieved.

University President welcomed the visiting delegation, in presence of Faculty of Law Dean Dr. Bashar Daraghmeh, Faculty lecturer Dr. Rizq Smodi and University Public Relations Director Mr. Fathi Amor.
During the reception, Prof. Dr. Abu Zuhri praised the roles of the State of Palestine Embassy in Washington and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants to defend Palestinian rights, follow-up community affairs and providing services to citizens living in the United States. He also gave a detailed explanation on the University, its objectives and role to adopt modernized international teaching methods. All of which enabled it to get an advanced position among Palestinian universities. He pointed, the university is proceeding academic side by developing programs and specializations to meet national and regional needs and promote many vital fields in Palestine.
He added the university philosophy is based on opening up to the world and European and American universities in particular to build scientific partnerships and adopt teaching programs such as the joint MBA program with Indiana University in Pennsylvania, in addition to scientific research, exchange experiences and academic staffs and implementing targeted programs
As for Faqih Advisor, he expressed his happiness saying “We are proud of this university and its great academic achievements that showed how free Palestinian Businessmen can build a model state if they had the will and patriotism. Today, Arab American University is the biggest model of Palestinian will to build its own future alone”.
He added, Palestine’s Embassy in Washington are ready to cooperate academically and in research between Arab American University and USA Universities to serve Palestinian students and higher education sector along with exchanging ideas to improve the university’s place in America and build partnerships with its prestigious universities.
The delegation took a tour around campus to see its faculties and Sports Village. They praised AAUJ academic achievement and pioneer role in Palestine.
