The Arab American University hosted a training workshop about GIS that was organized and planned by the social affairs ministry, by the International Bank funding. This workshop was planned to the social researchers and workers who work at the social affairs directories in Jenin, Tubas and Selfit.
The aim of this workshop is to develop the abilities of the social services workers on how to use the GIS that will be connected with the social affairs ministry programs. Also, this workshop represented a start of a combined cooperation between the university and the ministry to exchange experiences and take advantages of the facilities for both parties. The Engineering and Information Technology students either who are still studying or who graduated and started working appreciated the experiences of these institutions, as the university is ambitious to build a real effective relation among its plans and strategies in building a good relation with the local community. .JPG)
