The Chairman of Board of Directors of the University, Dr Yousef Asfour, inspects the development projects and admission of new students

The Chairman of Board of Directors of the Arab American University Dr. Yousef Asfour inspected the currently implemented development projects in the university and reassured the progress of work.

During his inspection tour Dr. Asfour was accompanied by the University President Professor Dr. Ali Zeidan Abu Zuhri, the Board of Directors' member Mr. Ghaleb Al- Hafi and the President Assistant for Administration and Financial Affairs Mr. Faleh Abu Arra.

The project engineers briefed Dr. Asfour on the final phases of the multipurpose gym project, and he listened attentively to their detailed explanations on the course of work and its conformity with the engineering plans.

He praised the efforts of the contractors and workers in the multipurpose gym project and stressed that the project will open soon to be a new achievement added to the other achievements of the university, and that it will serve the students of sports sciences, in addition to the Palestinian sports movement, and the local community.

During his visit to the university, Dr. Asfour also inspected the admission process of the new students of the general secondary graduates, and was briefed on the stages of the electronic acceptance and the mechanisms to mobilize applications electronically.  He also listened to students about some of the obstacles they face, then he instructed directives to solve and remove any obstacle that face the students in order to have a more facilitated and smooth admission process in the various disciplines. He then thanked the university administration and the Admission and Registration Deanship for their efforts and their determination to facilitate and provide guidance to students in this process.

 Dr. Asfour praised the efforts of all the university employees for their devotion and dedication at their work and said: “When I visit the university and meet its employees and its good family-like team, I am deeply touched by the extent of their affiliation; and I sense the extent of the university leadership on both the local and regional levels through its academic programs, research projects, the campus model and its international relations.”
