Excellencies, Honorable University Family, Distinguished Guests,
I am pleased to extend my sincere thanks to His Excellency President Mahmoud Abbas for his sponsorship of this important conference. Your conference today is a milestone on the path to digital transformation in Palestine and will add to the efforts exerted by many parties to achieve the national strategy towards digital transformation.
For the university, the conference is not a slogan that is raised, nor an activity that ends with the end of its activities. It is a door that opens to the future. From this standpoint, I am pleased to announce to you today that the university will take several steps in this track.
First: We announce today the establishment of the (National Center for Digital Transformation) at the Arab American University.
Second: The University has taken many steps so far to achieve its transformation into a digital university, and today I announce to you that the university's board of directors has started preparing a plan to transform the Arab American University into a fully digital university.
Third: The University decided to establish a faculty under the name (Faculty of Digital Sciences) that embraces digital majors offered by the university such as: digital economy, digital health, digital marketing, political science and digital diplomacy, digital business management, digital transformation and Innovation.
I am also pleased to announce that the university has started preparing for its next conference on the impact of artificial intelligence on teaching and learning. Here, I must thank those who contributed to the organization of this conference and thank you for your presence, with my wishes for you to have a successful and distinguished conference.
