The Palestinian team for juniors loses 0-2 for the Yemen team

The Palestinian soccer team for juniors lost a match with the Yemen team for juniors (2-0) during the first match among the Asian qualifiers for juniors under 16 years old on the Arab American University court with the presence of Jebril AlRjoub- the Head of the Palestinian Football Federation, Professor Ali AbuZuhri- the Arab American University President, Dr. Yousef Asfour- the head of the Board of Directors and Mr. Mustafa AlSahli- the Head of the Yemeni delegation.
Our team could have won except that there was a shortage in players’ numbers since minute 25 and the many injuries the players faced. And at the last minute of the match, the score was 0-1 for the Yemen team, and another goal during the overtime to make the final score (2-0) for the Yemeni team.

The press conference:
Yahya Assi- the technical manager for the Palestinian team said during the conference that he takes all responsibility for the team’s lost. He indicated that players were affected by the injuries and the player changing during the game, and that put them under pressure.

Assi considered the main weakness to be at the mid –court line and that caused hard time for the team to build the attacks. He also added that they will put more effort for the next game with the Uzbek team.

Ahmad Lousiano- the technical manager for the Yemeni team appreciated the Palestinian audience at the Arab American University court and asserted that the Yemini team is proud to be in Palestine. He praised the athletes of the Palestinian team and wished them all luck.
