The Arab American University organized a symposium along with the German Academic Exchange Services to define the scholarships that DAAD provide for students to continue their study at the German Universities.
During the symposium, the manager of DAAD Dr. Carstin Walbinz explained the mechanism for the provided scholarships, as those scholarships are for graduate students with high GPA and who are expected to graduate with masters’ degree from German Universities. He also clarified the mechanism to apply for the faculty to continue their PhD at the German Universities.
Dr. Walbinz gave a detailed explanation about the available academic programs in Germany; the conditions to apply, the mechanism of filling the applications, the advice that student should consider getting their acceptance and the importance of the field research visits to Germany.
Dr. Nitham Thiab, the vice-president for the community affairs and Dr. Mufid Qassom, the vice-president for the international relations both discussed with the Manager of DAAD the perfect ways to enhance the academic and research cooperation between the Arab American University and the German Universities, and they agreed on putting a combined vision for the possibility of faculty exchange and research visits.
