The University hosted Ramallah municipality to discuss a combined cooperation

The Arab American University hosted a delegation from Ramallah municipality to discuss ways of combined cooperation in the developmental, technological and experiences fields.
Professor Mahmoud AbuMwais welcomed the delegation and praised the role that Ramallah municipality does. He said: “the existence of the university is a sacred gift to the Palestinian people for all its sacrifice, the decision of establishing it comes from our awareness that the freedom of our land starts from freeing our minds and that the Palestinian youth in all specialities are the future that we are concerned about”. Professor AbuMwais added that in order to achieve a distinguish success; we must walk on the footsteps of the university that presents a unique model in investing in the higher education field

The Assistant to the President for the Financial and Administrative Affairs, Mr. Faleh AbuArrah said: “We seek a great poison between the world’s Universities and we believe in our ability to achieve what we want because our ambitious is great but our determination is greater. We seek to reach University town that has the best international standards from faculty, academic and administrative system and educational environment that altogether made a non-stop great-minded factory holding certificates in different specialities and they all contribute in building our country Palestine”.

Eng. Musa Hadeed, the chief of the municipality appreciated the University for its wonderful hospitality and for its central role in defining Palestine and its culture. He asserted that this visit to the University aims to open new ways for cooperation and experience exchange, to build a new model of success. He also clarifies that the municipality is now working on  aprogram called “ Smart City” to provide electronic services to the citizens and to build a GBS to put civilization foundations.

During the meeting, both parties suggested new means for collaboration, and the delegation made a tour around the campus to see the different faculties and the different academic programs that the University provides.
