The Arab American University welcomed hundreds of the 1948 Palestinian Territories students who hold high school diploma “Bagrut” in the open day it organized to familiarize them with its academic programs and the various disciplines offered in the different faculties.

Today’s events started in the presence of the University President Prof. Dr. Ali Zeidan Abu Zuhri, his VPs for Academic Affairs Dr. Zaid Saleh, Administrative and Financial Affairs Mr. Faleh Abu Arra, Dean of Admission and Registration Dr. Hazem Khanfar and his Assistant Eng. Bara Asfour, Faculty and Administrative Staff at the University and a group of the 1948 Palestinian Territories students and their families.
Prof. Dr. Ali Zeidan Abu Zuhri welcomed the students and their families, saying: “Today is an annual tradition organized by the university for the 1948 Palestinian Territories students especially the Bagrut holders to guide them and familiarize them with all the university specializations.” He went on telling the students: “You’re heading to the most important stage in your life to determine your future, by choosing a specialty. I’m confident you are well aware and educated to choose the best for you with both the university and your family’s help to achieve success and excellence.”
Dr. Abu Zuhri said: “The University has modified its study plans to suit the 1948 Palestinian Territories labor market and its requirements, prepare students through their university studies by adding courses to help them pass the profession exam requirements with honors as its applied in the faculties of Dentistry, Nursing, and Law”. He added: “Today, you have the opportunity to get to know the Arab American University faculties and specializations, making it easier to take the decision for your future and achieve your desire to study what you want.”
The Dean of Admission and Registration Dr. Hazem Khanfar explained the university admission requirements, applying mechanism, and invited students to visit the Admission and Registration Deanship to check the registration process starting with filling the application until enrolling in the university and get each specialty schedule.
Head of the University's Office in Nazareth city Mr. Rabi Fahoum explained office’s provided services to the 1948 students and the importance of staying in touch for when they have an enquiry about the specialties. The social networking sites employee at the PR Department Mr. Mahmoud Abu Farha explained to students the mechanisms to communicate with the university to check its services, activities and announcements through social media; Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Snapchat.
The students and their families visited the faculties’ booths, where they got the university publications, student guide, and the specializations detailed brochures. They also got the answers for their inquiries about everything related to the university, and the open day events included a very interactive a segment by the university choir.
After that, the 1948 students toured the university to check its various faculties, where they learned about its specialties, laboratories, clinics, the provided services in every specialization and each faculty teaching mechanisms. They also got a detailed explanation from the faculties’ deans about the specializations, enrollment mechanism and registration and admission requirements.
