The Graduate Affairs Department at the Arab American University organized a training course under collaboration with Palestinian Education for Employment Foundation about the kills in finding a job under the name “finding a job is a job”. The training contained 38 students of the university.
Dr. Nitham Thiab started the symposium by asserting on the importance of this training course for the newly graduate students as it comes especially at the time that graduate students couldn’t find jobs easily, and the unemployment rate is really high.

The Arab American University hosted the Palestinian businessman and writer Mr. Sam Bahour who visited the university to give a lecture about “development under occupation from a Palestinian perspective” for the Msters of Conflict Resolution students.
This lecture is an initiative step from Dr. Dalal Ireqat who gives “the Conflict, Peace and Development” masters course at the university. The lecture aimed to give students the chance to think and analyze in a positive critical way.

The office of the vice-president for Community Affairs and the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology organized a workshop about Business entrepreneur in Palestine: between reality and prospective.
This workshop is part of the Palestinian week for entrepreneur and working 2015. It aims to discuss the business entrepreneur in Palestine and encourage students to find creative ideas and implement competition on the local, Arabic and international level.

The university celebrated the GIS international day of the year 2015 by organizing a scientific symposium with collaboration with the Applied Science University and the Islamic University in Gaza.
Mr. Sami Awad welcomed the presents and expressed his appreciation to celebrate this international day that gathered academic institutions from the West Bank and Gaza, with the participation of local and international researchers and specialists.

Professor Ali Zaidan- the university President received the Board of Trustees member Mr. Waleed Al-A’fifi who visited the university to see the progresses that the university has reached and to discuss means of support to develop it.

The Deanship of the students’ Affairs organized a workshop about the reasons behind the psychological stress at Al-Yamoon Secondary School. The workshop was organized with the help of the psychological and social guidance department at the school.
Miss Jihan Samoudy- the School’s Principle started the workshop by appreciating the role that the Arab American University does at the local community and the schools.

The Arab American University participated at the 26th Arab union conference for libraries and information that was held in Jordan under the name “libraries and information specialists”. The Arab American University was represented by Mr. Hasan Al-Said- the library manager.
The conference aims to follow up the development at the library and information sciences and to know the different Arabian and international publishing houses.

Professor Ali Zaidan- the university president received the Palestinian businessman Nazih Ibrahim who visited the university to discuss means of collaboration to build a rehabilitation centre that will serve the north cities of the West Bank.
They both discussed ideas of development projects and agreed on making special studies and the possibilities of implementing the projects.

The Arab American University organized a workshop along with Sharek Youth Forum about the Palestinian labour law under the name “your right”. The workshop aimed to raise the students’ awareness about the work cases and the labour rights to guarantee their rights at the Palestinian labout market.
Dr. Nitham Thiab- the Assistant to the President for the Community Affairs started the workshop and clarified that the university always seeks to host experts and specialists so that students will be benefited from them.

A group of law students from the Faculty of Law at the Arab American University participated at the second annual symposium for the law students for the Palestinian universities that was organized by Al-Haq institution for 6 days at Ramallah under the name “Introduction to the international law”.
The symposium contained many subjects concerning the international law, human rights, the humanitarian international law and refugees’ issues and the training was by trainees from Al-Haq institution.
