AAUP Organizes a Lecture for Students of the Faculty of Law Entitled "Torture is a Humiliation to Human Dignity"

Within the “Torture is a humiliation to human dignity” project, the Faculty of Law in Arab American University and under collaboration with “Hurryyat Center” to defense civil freedom and rights has organized a lecture about the concept of torture according to what is stipulated in the Convention and Criminalization of Torture.

Dr. Rizq Samoudi- the Dean of the Faculty of Law said that according to the agreement between Arab American University and Horryyat Center, the faculty has organized this lecture about the torture concept according to what is stipulated in the Convention and Criminalization of Torture, the documentation of torture violations according to the Istanbul Protocol, the activating of national legal measures to prevent torture, and accountability to those who practice it.

AAUP Launches a Series of Scientific Lectures for the Faculty of Law Graduates who are about to Take the Practice Test

Under collaboration with the Palestinian Bar

Under collaboration with the Palestinian Bar and aiming to prepare participants and introduce them to the scientific issues in the law field, the Faculty of Law in Arab American University launched a series of scientific lectures to its graduates who are about to take the practice exam.

Dr. Riziq Samoudi- the Dean of the Faculty of Law said that these series of scientific lectures will be covered in the coming two weeks as the first lecture started today, and some specialized lawyers will participate to explain the different law issues to students. The lectures aim to provide students and graduates who are about to take the practice exam soon with the needed scientific issues and cases to help them pass the exam easily.

Dr. Sa’eb Iriqat lectures in an academic meeting for Conflict Resolution students in AAUP and Conflict Analyzing and Resolution from George Mason University

Aiming to enhance relations and academic collaboration between both universities and working for future experience and students mobility, the Faculty of Graduate Studies in AAUP organized an academic meeting between graduate students in the Conflict Resolution program in AAUP and BA, Masters and PhD Students from the program “Conflict Analyzing and Resolution” from George Mason University in Virginia- Washington. 

Dr. Dalal Iriqat- the VP for International Relations said that AAUP is planning to start an academic collaboration with George Mason University, especially that George Mason University is considered to be a leader in conflict analyzing and resolution. Dr. Iriqat explained that the strategy and policy of AAUP is to always seek to build international academic relations that include students and faculty mobility with international universities to enrich the Palestinian academic experience by learning from others experiences.
