Defense of a Master’s Thesis by Firas Diab in the Educational Psychology Program

Researcher Firas Jamal Diab, a student in the master’s program in educational psychology, has defended his thesis titled “Psychological Alienation and Its Relationship to Psychosocial Security among a Sample of University Students in the Northern Governorates of the West Bank.”

The present study aimed to know the level of psychological alienation and its relationship to psychosocial security among a sample of university students in the northern governorates of the West Bank. It also aims to investigate those differences and variations that may be contributed to, from the researcher’s point of view, by some variables, such as gender, place of residence, academic specialization, educational level, and university name.

Defense of a Master’s Thesis by Iman Ragheb in the Strategic Planning and Fundraising Program

Researcher Iman Hassan Ragheb, a student in the Master’s Program in Strategic Planning and Fundraising, has defended her thesis titled “Examining the Effectiveness of Social Studies Curriculum and Teachers Perceptions’ of the Value System for Seventh and Eighth Grades in Palestine: A Proposed Model".

The study examines the effectiveness of the Palestinian educational system in instilling good values among students, comparing seventh and eighth grade textbooks. The study reveals that the seventh grade textbook shows a higher degree of value system inclusion compared to the eighth grade textbook. It also reveals distinct patterns in integrating moral, religious, social, and national values into school textbooks. The seventh grade book excels in its coverage of moral, religious, social, and national values to a greater extent over the eighth book.

Defense of a Master’s Thesis by Enas Asfour in the Accounting and Auditing Program

Researcher Enas Ayed Asfour, a student in the Master’s Program in Accounting and Auditing, has defended her thesis titled “Corporate Governance and Earnings Management in Banks: Empirical Evidence from Palestine”.

This study focuses on the relationships between corporate governance and earnings management in the Palestinian banking sector and how they affect investor confidence and financial stability.

The researcher used the analytical method to study the various characteristics of corporate governance and how they affect earnings management. The results were based on empirical data collected from Palestinian banks listed on the Palestine Stock Exchange (PEX) between 2013 and 2022.
