Researcher Ishaq Jamal Maragha, a student in the Master’s Program in Commercial Law, has defended his thesis titled “The Law Applicable to the Electronic Arbitration Agreement.”

The present thesis dealt with the law applicable to the electronic arbitration agreement in light of the Palestinian Arbitration Law No. (3) of 2000. The research problem appears in the context of the Palestinian legislator’s lack of awareness. In addition, when enacting the arbitration law, the emergence of great technological development and the perception of the possibility of using technological means as part of the arbitration process at the perspective of procedures or subject.

Researcher Wafa Hassan Jaber, a student in the Master’s Program in Commercial Law, has defended her thesis titled “Governance of Insurance Companies in Palestine.”

The present study addressed the of governance in insurance companies in terms of its concept, objectives, and standards that companies must implement. The researcher touched upon the standards and principles issued by the OECD\G20 organization, the role of the Capital Market Authority in promoting and establishing principles of governance in the insurance sector.

Defense of a Master’s Thesis by Taqwa Mashaqi in the Neonatal Nursing Program

Researcher Taqwa Kamel Mashaqi, a student in the master’s program in neonatal nursing, has defended her thesis titled “The Effects of Implementing Neonatal Jaundice Prevention Program on Incidence, Mothers' Knowledge and Practices towards Neonatal Jaundice at Saint Joseph Hospital in East Jerusalem.”

The present study aimed to assess the impact of a prevention program for neonatal jaundice - also known as hyperbilirubinemia - on maternal knowledge and practices towards it at St. Joseph Hospital in East Jerusalem.
