Collaboration & Partnership Agreement signed between AAUP & PCBS

Arab American University presented by Prof. Ali Zedan Abu Zuhri the University’s President and The Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics presented by Dr. Ola Awad the PCBS President signed an MoU that aims to create joint collaboration to serve and benefit the public’s interest within the partnership and work integration to provide quality services for the Palestinian society.

This came during the visit of PCBS delegation to the University represented by Dr. Ola Awad, Dr. Sufian Abu Harb the Undersecretary Assistant for Administrative, Financial and IT Affairs, Mr. Loa’y Shehadeh the Undersecretary Assistant for Planning, Development and International Relations, and Ms. A’naya Zedan Undersecretary Assistant for Statistical Affairs.

Part of Singing the Agreement

The President of the Arab American University Prof. Ali Zedan Abu Zuhri, and the Secretary of the Qatar Permanent Committee for the Support of Al-Quds, MG Bilal Natsheh, signed a cooperation agreement that aims primarily to provide the educational and cultural sector in Palestine through financial funding to help Jerusalem students.

The university president, Dr. Abu Zuhri, stressed the importance of cooperating with the Qatar permanent committee to support Al-Quds, especially supporting Jerusalem students who face many difficulties.

The Secretary of the Qatar Permanent Committee for the support of Al-Quds, MG Bilal Natsheh said that the cooperation between the two parties will contribute in decreasing the financial burden on Jerusalem students through aid programs and scholarships. where they suffer from occupation policy which targets their identity.

Part of signing the agreement

In the ceremony that took place in Jenin, Palestine, on the 24th April, the University of Exeter team were represented by Professor Peter Turnpenny, Professor Andrew Crosby and Dr Emma Baple. From the AAUP, Professor Ali Zeidan, Dr Dalal Iriqat, Dr Reham Nazzal, and Dr Nouar Qutob. 

The Exeter team expressed their excitement for this collaborative Initiative to improve health care for patients, families and communities affected by rare disease through translational genomic medical research, student exchange and training between the two institutions.
