Part of singing the agreement

Hassib Al-Sabbagh Center for Information Technology Excellence at Arab American University signed two agreements to sponsor projects with two groups of university students through the recently launched PASS program, which is implemented by Leaders Foundation, funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

The Manger of Hassib Al-Sabbagh Center, Eng. Ahmed Fouad, said that the program aims to support the pioneering ideas and turn them into projects and new institutions. Where it will be done with the students whom signed the agreement.

He explained that the first agreement was signed with the students Abdul Salam Mansour, Mukhlas Turkman, and Ali Sawahreh, where their project is about designing a device to measure the signs of ECG and analysis it, using data mining techniques to predict the patient's heart disorder problems and to find a cure for them before complications occur.

Part of the MOU

The Arab American University (AAU) and Palestine Technical University – Kadoori signed a MOU for Academic and Scientific Research cooperation, moreover enriching related academic programs in diploma, Bachelors, and graduate studies.

This agreement was signed on behalf of AAU, by Prof. Ali Zedan Abu Zuhri – University President and on behalf of Palestine Technical University, by Prof. Marwan Awartani University president.

The CEO of Arab American University Dr. Yousef Asfour and the Dean of Graduate Studies in Palestine Technical University – Kadoori Dr. Hissan Shanak have attended the MOU ceremony.

Part of the agreement signing

The University and the Palestinian Telecommunication Group signed an agreement to finance the project of establishing a water purification plant at the university and its facilities. The meeting was attended by Mr. Faleh Abu Arra VP for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Mr. Ammar Al-Aker CEO of the Telecommunications Group, a number of faculty members, and directors of the group, at the Group’s headquarters in Al-Bireh.

“We thank the Telecommunications Group for their continuous support to the University through the developmental projects they fund, which contributes to raise the level of academic services provided by us to the university students”, said Mr. Faleh Abu Arra VP for Administrative and Financial Affairs. The university's water purification plant will serve health and environmental science students directly through laboratory experiments. The station will also contribute to create a green environment in the university and become one of the university basic resources.
