The Chairman of Board of Directors of Arab American University, Dr. Yousef Asfour, and the Universitys’ President along with the Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs Mr. Faleh Abu Ara, met with members of the Student Union Council at the University to discuss a number of issues related to students, and within their concern in providing and supporting the students needs through their representatives.

During the meeting, Dr. Asfour listened to the current needs of the Council and its future plans for serving the students and outlined the problems that facing them. He also reviewed the Council's work with the Presidency of the University and other administrative bodies, that aims to develop the Trade Unions activities for the Council.

Part of the Graduation

Hassib Al-Sabbagh Center for Excellence in Information Technology celebrated the graduation of 80 school students in the university from schools of Education and Higher Education Directorates in Jenin, Tubas and Qabatiya, who participated in training programs launched by the Center as part of 2018 summer initiatives.

With the attendance of Vice President for Community Training, and the Board member of Hassib Center, Dr. Nizam Dhiab, Director of Education Directorate in Tubas Sa'd Qabha, Director of Education Directorate in Jenin Hani Daraghmeh, Director of Education Directorate in Qabatiya Fawaz Abdul Hayy and academic staff and students with their parents.

The program was for two months and contained GoTechI, GoCode, GoTechII, that was organized in partnership with Glow Innovations and ElectroTech, and in collaboration with Education Directorates.

Shahd Shahin and Sindas Omriya, both graduates from Arab American University, received scholarships to complete the master's degree in chemistry, submitted by the Islamic Development Bank for the academic year 2018/2019.

Shaheen and Omriya confirmed that they chose to study their Masters in Chemistry at An-Najah National University. They also thanked the Islamic Development Bank for providing this scholarship and assured that the grants they received includes full cost for a two-year master's degree plus cost of living and ensure medical treatment.
