Master in Sport Sciences

Overview

The demand for professionals in sports sciences fields has recently increased. A master’s program in Sport Sciences offers education and training in several areas of sports and exercise science. The program is designed to attract students who are particularly interested in the theoretical and practical aspects of sports, exercise, and the aspects of human movement. It provides advanced knowledge in physiology of science and functional training, biomechanics, leadership and nutrition. It also provides students with skills in the latest methods of sports training and talent identification. The program also focuses on enhancing the students research and scientific thinking skills.

 

Goals

  1. To provide the student with the ability to address the basic concepts and vocabulary being used in sport sciences.
  2. To equip students with the knowledge of the latest methods of sports training and talent identification
  3. To enable the student to implement nutrition plans for both athletes and non-athletes
  4. To provide the student with the skills to answer today's challenges in sport science.
  5. To provide the student with the ability to analyze the effect of athletic activities on the body's many important organs.
  6. To strengthen the student’s ability to link the different aspects of sports science and understanding their interrelationships with other disciplines
  7. To enable the student to distinguish between process research data and statistical tools used in.

 

STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOME

  • To understand how the latest methods of sports training can be unique forms of advancing various sports and discern what makes the sport enterprise different from others and how that difference impacts people talents.
  • To apply techniques to influence various activities to link the different aspects of sports science and understanding their interrelationships with other disciplines in community sport.
  • To understand, analyze, and employ the appropriate methods to analyze the effect of athletic activities on the body's many important organs.
  • To facilitate the understanding of basic concept and vocabulary being used in sport sciences and master the unique set of skills that respond to the concepts of different sports.
  • To develop a mix of strategies to accommodate with today's challenges in sport science to achieve development and sustainability in sport organizations.
  • To understand and successfully implement the theories and practices that explain the ways of implementing nutrition plan for both athletes and non-athletes and the techniques for development relating to new ways of livings.
  • To obtain the skills needed to distinguish between process research data and statistical tools used in sport science, and be able to apply these processes and tools in sport research.
