The Policy and Conflict Resolution Studies Center in Arab American University started the preparations for selecting 9 students to participate in a training course about Reconciliation and Conflict Resolution that will be organized in Friedrich-Schiller-Universität (Jena) for a week, from 27 Feb 2022 until 4 March 2022.
This training is part of the Center’s project in “enhancing the national research capabilities in the reconciliation and conflict resolution field” that is funded by the EU. This project is also part of the vision of the center that was established on 2017 to be the first of its kind in the Arab region that enhances and supports the researches and studies in the conflict resolution and reconciliation, and the intercultural communication. The center keens to provide the academic scientific knowledge and practical skills in the mentioned fields.
This activity is planned and implemented under collaboration with Islamic University – Gaza and Hebron University as number of students studying in related topics and programs will be participating as well.
This kind of training is the second training that the center organizes, as previously fourteen students has participated in a similar training in University of Granada- Spain in 2020 that aimed to support and develop the scientific skills of graduate students in the conflict resolution and intercultural communication fields.
