The Arab American University has held an intensive training workshop on its Ramallah campus titled: “Quality in Teaching and Learning”. The workshop was supervised by Professor Mohammad Asia, Vice President for the Ramallah Campus.
The workshop aimed to improve the skills of academicians at the University for bachelor’s and postgraduate degrees. It also aimed to prepare them to use modern methods in education, evaluate student performance and employ technology in education. This is to reach high-quality educational outcomes in all programs offered by the University. The workshop included three topics: the course plan, linking it to the educational outcomes and automating them, modern teaching methods in the lecture hall in addition to methods for evaluating students and linking these methods to the course outcomes.
This initiative comes within the framework of the University’s pursuit of continuous development, as it has established an Academic Quality Development Unit on Ramallah campus. This unit seeks to stimulate innovation and adopt the best educational practices to empower students and prepare them to compete in the labor market.
