Interactive Educational Day about Business Leadership for the Graduate Studies Students

In an interactive day about “Leadership in Business” that was organized by the Administrative and Financial Sciences Department in the Faculty of Graduate Studies in AAUP, the department hosted Mr. Issa Qissis- the Businessman and the Banking Expert as a main guest speaker.

The day was about preparing individuals to succeed in the Business world, and exchanging leadership experiments between the guest speaker and the audience.

The workshop was opened by Dr. Raid Shomali- the Head of the Administrative and Financial Department in the Faculty of Graduate Studies as he welcomed the audience and Mr. Issa Qissis. Dr. Raid then introduced Mr. Qissis and his great experience in the management and consulting field in the Palestinian and Arabic banking sector. Dr. Shomali clarified that the aim behind this interactive day is to strengthen the relations between universities and the business sectors to guarantee having research and learning outcomes in order to keep pace with the development in the field of business which is for the benefit of society and the country.

Mr. Issa Qissis in his turn discussed some topics such as the mechanism of thinking and preparing for the students’ professional future after getting their Master’s degree, and the importance of improving distinctive personality traits of the graduate to help him in marketing himself and facing his competitors in the labor market, in addition to the importance of the leadership experiences in dealing with individuals and customers and overcome the threats and obstacles in the labor market.
