The founder Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab American University, Dr. Yousef Asfour, received a Jerusalemite delegation in the city of Ramallah to thank the University for the scholarships it provided to Jerusalem students.
The Jerusalemite delegation included the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Iraq, Dr. Ahmed Al-Ruwaidi, the Deputy Governor of Jerusalem, Dr. Abdullah Siam, the Advisor to the Governor of Jerusalem, Marouf Al-Rifai, the Vice President of Hilal Al-Quds Club Awad Al-Salaimeh, and the President of the Prisoner Club in Jerusalem, Nasser Qus. At the reception, Dr. Asfour was accompanied by the general manager of the University Company, Mr. Faleh Abu Arra.
For his part, the Chairman of the University's Board of Directors, Dr. Asfour, welcomed the Jerusalemite delegation, and affirmed the university's permanent support for the people of Jerusalem to enhance their steadfastness. He also indicated that AAUP plays its national role, in addition to its scientific, cultural and pioneering role by providing many scholarships to its students in different segments.
For their part, the Jerusalemite delegation expressed their thanks to the University for what it offers to Jerusalem students, praising the role it plays. They also expressed their pride in the university, which always bears the slogan of excellence for all Palestinians.
