Researcher Tamara Yaqub Abed Defense

Researcher Tamara Yaqoub Abed, physics student at the Arab American University Faculty of Graduate Studies, defended her thesis entitled “Effects of Cultivating Ytterbium // Flakes on the Physical Properties of Cadmium Sulfide Chips”.

The researcher discovered the effects of coating 70-nanometer Terbium film between two layers of cadmium sulfide on structural, optical and electrical properties. X-ray diffraction, electronic microscopy scanning, X-ray dispersion, class analysis and electro-thermal technology were used to study these effects. Pointing, coating Terbium fill with two layers of 500-nanometer cadmium sulfide enhances the structural nature of the films without altering their structural constants.

Researcher Majd Riad Assaf Defense

Researcher Majd Riad Assaf, commercial law student at the Arab American University Faculty of Graduate Studies, discussed her thesis on “Legal Regulation of Foreign Firms in Palestine: Study and Comparison”.

In her thesis, she mentioned the regulations for foreign firms, compared the three legislations of Palestinian, Jordanian and Egyptian and she merely addressed some legal texts in Lebanon, Emirates and Qatar which deal with the existence of such firms in their countries.

She concluded, for their sake all countries especially the developing ones, should have foreign companies within their lands to benefit from it; more manpower employment and advancement at all levels especially the economic and technological levels.

Researcher Qutaiba Abdullhadi Al-Karam Thesis Defense

Researchher Qutaiba Abdullhadi Al-Karam, physics student at the Arab American University Faculty of Graduate Studies, defended his master thesis titled “Resistance Spectrum, Structural Properties and Depending on Composite Ceramics Temperature”.

In his thesis, he explored some of the bismuth zinc niobium oxide ceramic composed with lanthanum characteristics, due to its famous high insulation application. Lanthanum concentration was changed in the range x =0.10 – x =0.22. X-ray diffraction analysis showed that ceramics grow individually from 33 – 57 nm when lanthanum concentration increases from 0.10 – 0.20.
