AAUP Hosts a Joint Training Meeting for the “Excellence” Teams in AAUP and An Najah National University

The Arab American University hosted the joint training meeting, between the “Excellence” teams of AAUP andAn Najah National University. The meeting was held under the supervision of the Deanship of Student Affairs, entitled “Pioneering Thinking and Small Project Management”, presented by the Head of Alumni Affairs Department at the University, Mr. Bilal Al-Ashqar.

The meeting aims to introduce the participants to the concept of entrepreneurship, the most prominent entrepreneurial personality traits, and how to analyze the market in order to reach a distinctive entrepreneurial project, through the use of team techniques, competitive games, and purposeful challenges.

AAUP Holds a Workshop on Self-Care and Developing Psychological Intervention Skills

The Psychological and Social Counseling Office at the Deanship of Student Affairs at the Arab American University has held a workshop entitled "Self-Care and Developing Psychological Intervention Skills". The workshop targeted the members of the psychological support team working in the field during the invasion of Jenin camp, in cooperation with the Palestinian Counseling Center and the Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA). The training was conducted by Salah Malaysha and Sanaa Belidi.

In her turn, the social counselor at the University, Dr. Laila Herzallah, confirmed that the University is always proactive in social responsibility with the services it provides in the field of psychological care, praising the efforts paid by the workers in the field and what they witnessed during the war and the invasion.

The Deanship of Student Affairs Organizes a Field Visit to the Police Directorate - Drug Control Department and the Customs Police Department

The Deanship of Student Affairs, represented by the Social and Psychological Counseling Department, in cooperation with the Police Directorate and the Customs Police Department, organized a field visit to the Police Directorate and the Anti-Narcotics Department, to learn about the nature of work, the procedures followed and how to destroy the seized banned stuff in order to raise the level of awareness and knowledge among students in protecting themselves and the society.

The delegation, which was accompanied by Dr. Laila Harzallah from the University, received Major Adel Al-Aissa, the branch director, and Major Malik Abed, the deputy director of the branch. All the departments in the directorate were visited, and a detailed explanation was presented to the students by the police personnel about the nature of the departments' work in protecting the society.
