The Sport Sciences speciality witnesses a great demand from students of both females and males especially females from the west bank and the lands of 1948, as for the first semester of the Academic year 2014/2015 the number of students was 66 of which 44 males and 22 females as the head of the department Dr. Waleed Khanfar said.

The university president Professor Mahmoud AbuMwais welcomed a delegation who visited the university from Al-Aqsa Institution for Waqf and Heritage “the Headquarter at Um Al-Fahem” who visited the university to give the administration an appreciation gift of a volume titled “The Holy Places Encyclopaedia in Palestine” for the role of awareness and education that the university is doing.

The university announced the enclosure of the project of enhancing the university employment units after a year of its beginning with the youth centre (Sharek) and the economic empowerment centre by the support of the international youth centre. This enclosure was during a ceremony that was organized by the vice-president for the social affairs.
The project has started with the program of “a passport for success” that contained 9 training courses with more than 270 students. Those trainings were followed by a paid training that benefited 45 graduates.

The University President Professor Mahmoud AbuMwais honored the Faculty of Law Students who won the first place at the competition of “the Legal Excellence Research” that was organized by the Anti-Corruption body and the eligibility for the independence of judiciary and the rule of law (Independence) at Al-Bireh city with the participations of 17 researches by law students of the Palestinian universities in the West Bank and Gaza, under the required conditions.
